Sto-Rox principal convenes for DUI
The director of Sto-Rox High School was arrested Saturday night on charges of drunken driving in Upper St. Clair, where he lives.
Melanie Alicia Kerber, 57, was arrested by a senior officer of St. Clair at 10:30 pm on Washington Road after the officer said he saw his SUV weaving in and out of the sidewalk and turn lanes when their headlights reflection light barrier construction in the side of the road.
After the officer stopped her, said Ms. Kerber eyes were glassy and he smelled of alcohol. He also said that three sobriety tests. He stopped her and took her to the police station, according to an affidavit, in a breath test registered alcohol readings in the blood of 0,191 and 0,178. The legal limit for driving is .08.
Ms. Kerber was released in the custody of his father.
The police filed the charges on Tuesday by the announcement. She faces a preliminary hearing on Dec. 6.
Ms. Kerber was in high school yesterday, but did not return a message.
